PNG Christian Women (PNGCC-CW)
PNG Christian Women is an association under the umbrella of the Papua New Guinea Council of Churches.
PNGCC-CW brings together women from the seven mainline churches and other Christian women’s fellowship groups. It has a strong national network of more than 400 women’s groups and an estimated membership of over 500,000 women.
What PNGCC-CW Does
PNGCC-CW focuses on:
- Prayer and spiritual growth
- Leadership training and capacity building
- Advocacy on women’s and family issues
- Community awareness and peacebuilding
National Impact
In 2023, PNGCC-CW held its 8th Triennial Conference in Tari, Hela Province, under the theme “Creating a Safer Community for Women and Children.” Women led a peace march against violence and helped initiate local peace processes.
